first impressions.

So, I was thinking about making a film having something to do with bicycles, and my thoughts were reinforced after spending my first day here. Bicycles seem to be more numerous than cars. I cannot help noticing the huge differences between the Seattle "bike scene" and Berlin's, although I have not spent nearly enough time here in order to even witness a scene. Old clunky bikes seem to be just the preferred mode of transport, while cyclists in Seattle treat them like expensive sports cars (some of them ARE that expensive). So I brought my flashy hot pink Seattle bike with me, and we will see what happens. We will also see what happens when I ride with no brake in a foreign city. It's going to be brutal. In a good way.
